Pure handcrated skincare

About

We live and make soap in Bellingen, on the mid-north coast of NSW. We aim to make a soap that is both ethical (in terms of ingredients and production methods) and good for our customers (in terms of benefits to their skin).

We first started making soaps back in England in 2000. The initial drive came from a realisation that many products available to people with sensitive skins (most of us), were full of undesirable ingredients such as palm oil, petrochemicals, sodium laurel sulphate, and artificial perfumes & colours to name a few.

We have been making soap in Bellingen since 2005 and our ethos is unchanged. All our soaps have the same basic ingredients; coconut oil (sourced from Pacific Islands Co-operative), olive oil from Moree, NSW and macadamia oil from Nambucca, NSW. We use a traditional cold-press method to blend the oils with a lye solution that contains either goat’s milk or rainwater. Then, to create a variety of aroma, texture and colour, we add different essential oils (no chemical fragrances) and various natural clays, plant materials and food grade items such as honey, oatmeal, or cocoa.

The result is a soap that does not dry your skin out, but actually cleanses and nourishes your skin. It is pleasant to use, kind to you, and kind to nature.
